I am no kind of fitness "expert."  I have no professional training, no degree, no nothing, except that I'm a real person, in the real world, who likes a good workout.  With that said, everything on this page is strictly my opinion from my experience.  You shouldn't begin any kind of exercise regimen (especially) rigorous without checking with your doctor...not that I do that...but know your limits...don't kill yourself. 


I have actually been through this twice now. You can check out my review after round one here. I ended up doing it again after tearing my hamstring (because I needed something a little less insane but still intense). Not too shabby!

It's "The Shred." Definitely a chick workout and better for beginners! However, you can make it harder by adding more weight and moving faster.  Ii is nice because it's shorter--in and out in 30 minutes easily.  I have done it for 30 days straight.  If you commit to it and do it, you will see a difference.  I didn't lose 20 pounds, but, let's be real, that would be a problem.  It's effective because Jillian likes to work more than one muscle group at a time.  If you think you don't have time to workout, you do with this program. 
What can I say? I love it. It has made me so much stronger. There is a lot of great core work! I have been through this twice, and I imagine I'll start it up again after finishing Combat. Check out my review from round one here! #BringItAgain
P90X--I hate it, but I love it.  I part-way went through this program once and did all 90 days straight the summer of 2011.  There are three "programs": classic, lean, and doubles.  I did the classic.  If you can stick to this, your body will change for the better.  And, don't skip out on yoga and stretching!  I didn't do the meal plan, but I still saw results.  My biggest problem with this is that the workouts are long and can be difficult to fit in your day.  This is EXTREME and you better be ready to "Bring It"! (You can check out my post here.) ***I have since completed the classic (again) and lean programs. It's just good stuff. #BringIt
